Phuket’s best beaches: L’Amour’s Top Picks

P

huket is an island in Thailand bursting with stunning paradise beaches. With more than thirty iconic tropical seaside locations to choose from, the wedding planning team at L’Amour found it challenging to pick their favourites.

So many of the sandy nirvanas could be the perfect spot for a dream wedding. From the long, sweeping vistas of the North-West coast to the charming coves in the South-East of the island, Phuket has it all.

But, after several heated discussions, the event planners at L’Amour settled on three beaches you simply cannot miss when visiting the world’s favourite Thai holiday destination.

Ao Sane Beach

Charming Ao Sane beach is nestled in Phuket’s southern coastline, a stone’s throw from the island’s famous Nai Harn beach. This small cove is given character by large rocks punctuating the short stretch of golden sand. These stoic guardians rise high and give the beach a dramatic appearance. The route to the beach offers incredible aerial views of the idyllic inlet and sparking sea as it follows a single-track road, which clings to the hillside.

Nai Thon Beach

Only a few miles south of Phuket International Airport, you will find Nai Thon beach. Smooth sands slide into crystal clear azure waters- shallow enough for the whole family to swim in. Rock pools on the peripheries of the beach boast a wealth of wildlife, fascinating to observe.

Nai Thon is not crowded with tourists, but it is still possible to rent kayaks, paddle board and surfboards from small vendors on the beach. Lining the road behind this stunning location are fresh food stalls: bamboo structures piled with mouth-watering tropical fruits and delicious Pad Thai prepared in large metal woks.
